Blog here as to what the video inspires as to vision for prayer in our church.

  1. Couple things we felt, guilt for not attending more prayer meetings at our church.

And power of God for what he did for the speakers daughter, that was amazing.

We also enjoyed the portrait of Jesus he gave in the begining,When Jesus let the temple money chagers know how HE felt about using the Temple to make money.

  2. As I watched the video, I felt the confirmation and conviction that the church should be a house of prayer. Cymbala's statement that the prayer meeting is the barometer of their church was a provocative statement.

Hearing that over 1200 people attend their Tuesday prayer service is inspiring yet humbling.

I am inspired for our church to be a house of prayer. I believe God answers prayer and that God intervenes in our lives because of and through prayer. I would love to see a 24 hour 7 day a week prayer ministry; crowded prayer meetings; and a community changed because of our prayers. I need to have a greater commitment to personal and corporate prayer and I believe the most important thing I can do each week is lift our congregation in prayer to God.

  3. I liked being reminded that the first church began while the people were praying.

Like anything else in life, it takes work, the work of prayer....as the video said "God's work is supposed to have the aroma of prayer."

May our church show God's glory by praying!

  5. It was inspiring to hear how Pastor Cymbala's church started off, small and struggling, and to see it now - one of the most influential churches in the nation. To credit this to what Pastor Cymbala calls the most important service of his church, the prayer service, is awesome.

  6. The speaker really makes you think, how powerful prayer can really be, and how absolutely essential it is not only to our church, but to our everyday lives.

  7. The vidio has some very strong arguments for prayer, the story he told of his daughter being lost,or out there for along time then the church prayed for her was very moveing.
